Disable File Sharing File sharing leaves
your computer open to a myriad of attacks. Many of these attacks will
allow a malicious hacker to have complete read/write access to the contents
of your hard-drive. Therefore, it is imperative that you disable file
sharing if you do not absolutely need it. Disable

file sharing on Windows XP Disable file sharing on Windows 2000 1. Click START. Disable file sharing on Windows 95/98/ME 1. Double-click the
MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop. 7. Click OK. Click OK again. 8. Click YES to restart
your computer and put your changes into effect. Disable
file sharing on Windows NT 3. Set to NOT SHARED.
