Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer

If you are a Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP user you should download and run the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. This tool was designed to check the current configuration of your system and report any insecure findings, such as a missing service pack or critical update.

Once your machine has been analyzed, it will give you the proper steps to update your system, as shown below.
